With the release of Stagey 8.6, we're thrilled to deliver one of our most significant updates yet—focusing on financial transparency, streamlined reporting, and introducing the ability to create and manage Companies directly on your Stagey site.

Here’s a closer look at the groundbreaking changes in this release:

Behind every show is a team of creative and business minds working tirelessly to make it happen. Stagey 8.6 introduces Companies, a new way to represent the businesses behind the art and simplify financial operations.

Each Stagey site is managed by a single designated Site Company, representing your organization or core business entity. The Site Company oversees operations and revenue at a site-wide level.

Now, you can also host Guest Companies on your site, empowering outside organizations to manage their own shows and venues within your platform. These companies:

• Can link their own Stripe accounts for direct financial control.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of their shows and venues independently.
• Operate under customized revenue-sharing deals you define on a show-by-show basis.

For each show, set a tailored ticket revenue split with Guest Companies. Stagey automatically processes and settles ticket revenue to their Stripe account—no extra action required.

Settling finances is a critical part of running a successful arts organization. Stagey 8.6 reworks the settlement process to provide clarity and flexibility.

• Settlements on Your Schedule: Ticket sales now settle a configurable number of days after a performance plays, as defined in your settings. Refunds are no longer possible after settlement.
  
• Expanded Settlements: Ads, Passes, and Registrations follow the same customizable schedule, giving you full control over settlement timing.

These changes ensure that your financial processes are both predictable and adaptable to your organization's needs.

Balance Reporting

A General Ledger-style system now shows your current balance with traditional debits and credits, ensuring your finances are transparent and accurate.

Stagey 8.6 introduces a redesigned Profile Section, consolidating all the essential details about your operations:

• View and manage your sites and companies.
• Track earnings from Stagey's referral program.
• Manage your account, including key settings and preferences.

Your profile is now a central hub for overseeing and customizing your entire Stagey experience.

Stagey's new Referral Program rewards users for helping spread the word about our platform.

• Earn 5% of Stagey fees (typically $1 per ticket) for every referred customer for the next five years.
• Share Stagey and enjoy easy, passive income as a thank-you for your support.
